Laboratory Support Technician - Laboratory - Methodist West
Overview

Responsibilities
  1. The Laboratory Support Technician processes laboratory specimens for testing.
  2. Evaluates specimen acceptability.
  3. Enters patient and test information into the computer.
  4. Responds to requests for information from customers.
  5. Monitors test requests in the order/entry system.
  6. Contributes directly to patient care by accurately and timely processing specimens and dispersing information both in and outside the Laboratory.
Qualifications

High School Graduate or equivalent. Training as a unit clerk, medical assistant, medical secretary, or phlebotomist is preferred. Coursework in biology and/or chemistry is considered.
