Job summary

Eurofins Built Environment Testing is seeking a Laboratory / Administrative Support to join our team. This role handles receiving and opening sample packages from walk-in clients, FedEx, and drop-boxes, logs all samples, and performs QC before lab analysis.

You will interact with clients, answer phone calls, and relay information to Client Relation Executives, Analysts, and management. Full-time, typical hours Mon–Fri with overtime as needed; comprehensive benefits provided.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED is required.
• Typing speed above 50 WPM is expected.
• Ability to multitask in a busy setting.
• Experience in fast-paced, production, retail or food service environments.
• US work authorization without sponsorship.
• Professional English reading/writing/speaking required.
• Experience in Sample Receiving is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receive and open packages.
• Login of all samples in a timely manner.
• Label all samples.
• QC of samples/projects before lab submission.
• Interact with clients and answer incoming calls.
• Report status information to clients.
• Communicate with clients to clarify analyses.
• Forward project information to the appropriate Client Relation Executive.
• Maintain supplies for sample receiving.
• Other related duties as assigned.

Job Description

Eurofins Built Environment Testing is seeking a Laboratory / Administrative Support to join our team!

Laboratory Support / Administrative Support personnel is responsible for receiving and opening sample packages from walk-in clients, FedEx, other mailing services and retrieving samples from drop box. Must ensure that all samples are logged in in a timely, efficient and accurate manner and perform the quality control of projects that are sent to the laboratory for analysis. Must effectively interact with clients and answer phone calls coming into the laboratory and forward them to the appropriate personnel as necessary. The personnel must maintain an open line of communication with Client Relation Executives, Analysts and other management staff.

Login of all samples in a timely manner

Label all samples

QC of samples/projects prior to sending into the laboratory

Interact with clients and answer incoming phone calls

Report status information to clients

Communicate with clients for clarification of analysis requested

Forward specific project related information to the appropriate Client Relation Executive

Responsible for maintaining the necessary supplies for sample receiving

Other related duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum Basic Qualifications

• HS diploma or G.E.D.
• Good typewriting skills, over 50 WPM
• Must have the ability to multitask
• Experience working in a fast paced, production, retail or food service environment
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
• Professional working proficiency in English is a requirement, including the ability to read, write and speak in English.
• Experience in Sample Receiving preferred

Additional Information

Compensation Range: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour depending on experience and qualifications.

Position is full-time, Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm with overtime and weekends as needed.

Eurofins Environment Testing (USA) provides a compensation range for informational purposes, the actual base compensation may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience and skill set, base compensation of internal peers, business sector, and geographic location.
