Job summary

Talentify seeks a Phlebotomy Technician to join our lab team. You will organize tasks to meet turnaround standards, perform data entry, sterile techniques, aliquoting, and phlebotomy, and process specimens for testing.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and formal phlebotomy or medical assistant training. Entry-level experience (<1 year) is acceptable; PHI compliance is essential.

About this job

A Brief Overview

Performs specimen procurement and/or processing of laboratory specimens. Provides laboratory support functions.

What You Will Do

• Organizes and performs tasks efficiently to meet departmental turnaround time standards.
• Performs computer data entry, laboratory processes including sterile technique, aliquoting and/or phlebotomy
• Processes specimens for laboratory testing.

• Complies with all policies and standards.

• Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients. Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace.

Education

• High School Equivalent / GED (Required) and
• Other Accredited Program: Formal Training from an accredited phlebotomy school or medical assistant program (preferred) (Preferred)

Work Experience

• less than 1 year Entry level (Required)
