Job summary

Piedmont Atlanta Hospital is seeking an experienced Laboratory Supervisor to oversee daily laboratory operations, supervise procedures, and ensure accurate testing for patient diagnoses.

The role includes ensuring analyzer maintenance, rigorous quality control, proper specimen collection, and supplies management in line with policy and standards. You will develop plans to improve workflow and system processes in your area.

Qualifications

• 3 years of clinical experience in a laboratory setting.
• Demonstrated clinical competency in the specialty area applying for.
• Previous supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct supervision of the daily operations of the laboratory section and/or area.
• Oversee and efficiently perform procedures and tests as ordered for diagnosis and treatment of disease.
• Ensure maintenance of analyzers and quality control; manage specimen collection and supplies per standards of practice and policy.
• Provide recommendations and action plans for the improvement of system processes in the section/area.
