Job summary

Dignity Health - Northridge Hospital Medical Center is seeking a Laboratory Supervisor to oversee clinical laboratory operations and ensure high-quality services supporting patient care. You will manage daily operations, staffing, scheduling, and workflow coordination within the hospital laboratory.

You will lead a team of technologists and technicians, providing training, guidance, and performance evaluations to maintain testing efficiency and accuracy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in biological or chemical sciences per CLIA requirements.
• Minimum of five (5) years of progressive Laboratory Services experience in Medical Technology/Clinical Laboratory Science.
• One year of experience as a supervisor or higher.
• ASCP, NCA, or CLS or equivalent certification.
• MTA license required.
• Fire Safety Card required within 90 days of start date.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with other departments, physicians, and nursing staff to prioritize and fulfill laboratory testing requests promptly.
• Maintain inventory levels, order supplies, and oversee equipment maintenance and calibration.
• Implement and maintain laboratory information systems (LIS) to streamline laboratory processes and data management.
• Participate in the development and implementation of new laboratory tests and procedures.
• Serve as a resource for laboratory staff, providing technical expertise and troubleshooting assistance as needed.

Every day, you will manage and supervise the daily operations of the hospital laboratory, including staffing, scheduling, and workflow coordination.

To be successful in this role, you will oversee a team of laboratory technologists and technicians, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate with other departments, physicians, and nursing staff to prioritize and fulfill laboratory testing requests promptly.

Job Requirements

• American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP), National Credentialing Agency for Laboratory Personnel (NCA), or Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS), or equivalent required.
• MTA license required
• Fire Safety Card required. (Must obtain within 90 days of start date.)
