Job summary

Iconma,-Llc. is assisting a Medical Research client in Cleveland, OH to hire a Specimen Technician. The role covers a-station tasks, presort, pickup and delivery of processed specimens to the lab, imaging, centrifugation and aliquoting, performed accurately and on time.

The requirements include a HS diploma and strong data entry; basic computer skills are needed. Lab experience is preferred but not required; medical terminology knowledge and hospital lab exposure are a plus.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent.
• Strong data entry experience.
• Basic understanding of computers with a preferred knowledge of laboratory testing and/or laboratory specimen processing.
• No experience required but previous laboratory experience preferred.
• Medical background preferred which includes medical terminology applicable to a clinical laboratory.
• Previous hospital laboratory experience is a plus but not required.
• Previous experience in a production environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• A-station, presort, pickup and delivery of processed specimens to the laboratory, imaging/microfilming, centrifugation and aliquoting. All functions must be performed with confidence, accuracy and in a timely manner.
