Job summary

Labcorp in Detroit, MI is hiring a Specimen Accessioner/Processor to support a high-volume clinical lab environment. You will prepare and route specimens, ensure accurate labeling, and maintain precise data entry for patient information, enabling timely testing and reporting.

Requires a High School Diploma; 6+ months in a medical/production setting is preferred. Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs and pass a color blindness test. This is a full-time role with a 10:30 PM–7:00 AM schedule.

• Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis and testing.

• Data entry of patient information accurately and timely.
• Resolve and document any problematic specimens.

LabCorp is seeking a Specimen Accessioner/Processor to join our team at Henry Ford St. John in Detroit, MI.

Work Schedule: Monday-Friday and every other weekend 10:30PM-7:00AM

Job Responsibilities

• Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis and testing
• Unpack and route specimens to their respective staging areas
• Accurately identify and label specimens
• Pack and ship specimens to proper testing facilities
• Meet department activity and production goals
• Properly prepare and store excess specimen samples
• Data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Resolve and document any problem specimens

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

• 6 months or more of experience in a medical or production environment
