University of Vermont Medical Center (UVMMC) seeks a Specimen Processing Technician I to support daily operations in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine. You will perform clerical, technical, and sample processing across clinical testing areas, triaging samples for multiple divisions including Surgical Pathology, Cytology, Microbiology, Cytogenetics, and Flow Cytometry.
Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent; laboratory experience is preferred.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
This position supports the daily operation of the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine divisions. The Specimen Processing Technician I performs clerical, technical, and sample processing for the clinical testing areas. Staff triage multiple sample types for the Surgical Pathology, Cytology, Microbiology, Cytogenetics, and Flow Cytometry.
High school graduate or equivalent.
Laboratory experience preferred.
