Job summary

Labcorp in Dublin, OH is hiring a Reference Test Clerk to join our team in a fast-paced laboratory setting. Work schedule is Tuesday to Saturday, 4:00am to 12:30am, with rotating weekends.

You will prepare specimens, resolve issues, and support multiple areas of the lab while ensuring accuracy and timely results. The role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, with preferred experience in specimen processing or medical/lab environments.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 3 months or more of specimen processing experience.
• 3 months or more of medical or laboratory experience.
• Comfortability with handling biological specimens.
• Ability to accurately identify specimens.
• Basic computer knowledge and data entry skills.
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
• High level of attention to detail with the ability to prioritize and multitask.
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test.

Responsibilities

• Prepare laboratory specimens for various analysis and testing
• Research, troubleshoot and resolve customer and specimen problems
• Send test requests to proper location and release test results
• Assist clients with any specimen related requests or inquiries
• Process specimens to be sent out to additional facilities
• Provide support to various areas of the laboratory
• Perform sample sorting, racking and retrieving
• Prepare record logs in a timely and efficient manner
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
