About the role
Your missions

As our Laboratory & Site Manager, you will be the operational backbone of the Boston site, responsible for managing day-to-day laboratory operations, overseeing inventory and equipment management, and ensuring Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) compliance.

Responsibilities
  • Support day-to-day operation of the Boston site.
  • Be the first on-site and ensure the laboratory is ready for daily activities.
  • Manage laboratory inventories, including reagents, chemicals, consumables, and purchasing.
  • Coordinate preventive maintenance, repairs, and calibration of laboratory equipment.
  • Schedule and oversee vendor and contractor interventions.
  • Perform routine inspections of laboratory spaces, equipment, utilities, and safety systems to identify and resolve issues proactively.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, organized, and inspection-ready laboratory environment.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for laboratory operational needs.
  • Support Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) activities, including chemical management, PPE compliance, and safety documentation.
  • Coordinate laboratory safety training and support compliance with building, fire, and laboratory regulations.
  • Liaise with the building management team and external service providers to resolve facility-related issues.
  • Continuously improve laboratory organization, workflows, and operational efficiency.
About you

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience in pharmaceutical or biotechnoloy laboratory operations, at least a bachelor's degree, and an excellent organizational and communication skills. You will work in a dynamic environment, ensuring that the lab operations run safely and efficiently on a daily basis. You will be required to engage with a range of people in a proactive manner, both in-person, on the phone, and over emails and text messages.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology, Life Sciences, or a related field.
  • Ability to work on-site in Charlestown 5 days per week.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and record-keeping skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and a proactive, service-oriented mindset.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple priorities and work across teams.
  • Experience with laboratory equipment maintenance, inventory management, and vendor coordination.
  • Experience creating and maintaining operational documentation.
  • Familiarity with laboratory safety requirements, chemical management, and PPE procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in molecular biology laboratories.
  • Knowledge of GLP (Good Laboratory Practices).
  • Experience with 5S or Lean methodologies.
  • Familiarity with laboratory management software.
  • Experience coordinating facility or infrastructure projects
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
  • Ability to work standing or sitting for a long period of time

  • Equipment is maintained proactively with minimal downtime.
