HCA Healthcare's Good Samaritan Hospital seeks a Manager of Laboratory to lead the Laboratory Services Department. You will supervise staff, ensure high clinical and operational performance, and serve as a key resource for physicians, nursing staff and patients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• California license: Clinical Laboratory Scientist OR CMS Licensure from CDPH.
• Front-line supervision experience required (0–1 year).
• 5+ years of clinical laboratory experience in assigned technical areas.
• Strong interpersonal skills to support mission and vision.
• Ability to write clear procedures and policies.
• Low level of supervision required; works independently within policy.
• Understanding of Laboratory processes and medical plan of care.

Responsibilities

• Direct, supervise and manage the Laboratory Department.
• Assist the Director to maintain clinical and operational performance.
• Lead Laboratory personnel and students as a resource for physicians and staff.
• Provide professional care leadership and staff guidance.
• Assess patients to plan, intervene and evaluate care.
• Plan, develop, coordinate and monitor activities in assigned technical areas.
• Oversee compliance, timekeeping, scheduling, POC testing and QA/PI.
• Direct Laboratory and pathology services in the absence of the Administrative Director.
