Qualifications

• License / Certification Required: CA Clinical Laboratory Scientist license or Clinical Chemist Scientist license.
• Experience Required: Four years of clinical lab experience, with at least two years as a clinical lab scientist working in the assigned specialty.

Responsibilities

• Actively participates in the employee selection, counseling and performance appraisal.
• Schedules staff and work assignments for assigned section.
• Coordinates daily technical operations of the section.
• Develops new methods and updates existing ones.
• Develops, maintains and monitors quality control and quality improvement programs.
• Assures compliance with laws, regulations, policies, procedures and methods.
• Maintains continued competence of professional, technical and supervisory skills.
• Performs tests in Chemistry, Microbiology, Immunology, Immunohematology, Hematology, and Point of Care.
