Job summary

HTU is seeking a Laboratory Technician to perform, support, and oversee the analysis of air, water, and soil samples using established chemistry and biochemistry methods. The role includes cleaning, maintaining, and calibrating instruments, and accurately documenting procedures, observations, and results to keep high-quality laboratory records.

You have a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or other STEM field (training provided) and must be able to work in a lab setting, including

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or other STEM related degrees — or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Training is provided.
• Ability to work effectively in a laboratory environment, including standing for extended periods, working around strong odors, and wearing required personal protective equipment (lab coat, safety glasses, gloves—all provided).

Responsibilities

• Perform, support, and oversee the analysis of air, water, and soil samples using established chemistry and biochemistry methods.
• Clean, maintain, and calibrate laboratory instruments and equipment.
• Accurately document procedures, observations, and results to maintain high-quality, organized laboratory records.
