Job summary

Kelly Science & Clinical seeks a Scientist for a contract-to-hire position in a clinical laboratory in St. Louis, MO. This on-site role requires local candidates and includes responsibilities across testing, documentation, validation, QA/QC, and biomarker work.

The candidate will perform high-complexity CLIA lab tests, prepare technical documents, and contribute to method validation and SOP updates. On-site interviews and relocation considerations may apply.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a hard science (Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or Physics) is required.
• 1+ years of professional lab experience handling human samples is required.
• ASCP certification is preferred but not required.
• Experience with immunoassays, chromatography, or mass spectrometry is a plus.
• Experience in a high-complexity CLIA lab is highly desirable.
• Experience with human biological specimens and biosafety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform CLIA high-complexity lab tests following established procedures.
• Prepare and review technical documents, including validation protocols and reports.
• Conduct analytical validation experiments for assays in various development stages.
• Perform QA/QC on test results and data.
• Monitor QC through data trends, shifts, and delta checks.
• Manage inventory of reagents and supplies.
• Assist in developing biomarkers for neurodegenerative diseases.
• Maintain accurate records and report results using MS Office and databases.
• Write and update SOPs, ensuring adherence to safety policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Kelly® Science & Clinical is seeking aScientist for contract-to-hire (temp-to-permanent) position in a clinical laboratory with one of our biotechnology partners in St. Louis, MO. Candidates must be currently local to the St. Louis area and able to attend an on-site interview.

• Target Pay Rate: dependent on high complexity testingexperience
  
  • 1-2 years of experience processing human samples: $29-31/hour
  • 3-6+ years of experience processing human samples: $32-37+/hour
• Location:St. Louis, MO
• Schedule:Monday-Friday, 8:00AM-5:00PM
