Job Summary

The Dean of Students collaborates with the Principal, Assistant Principal, and Dean of Teaching and Learning to ensure smooth program operations in the Early Childhood Division. Responsibilities include supporting students and families, fostering community relations, advising on division matters, and promoting diversity and inclusion. The role reports directly to the Principal and requires building strong relationships within the school community.

Responsibilities

1. Build relationships with children, families, and staff to foster community.
2. Coordinate assemblies, support academic and social-emotional development, and monitor student progress.
3. Participate in admissions, enrollment, and student placement processes.
4. Collaborate with departments to ensure continuity and support for students.
5. Assist in hiring, orientation, and policy development, emphasizing diversity and inclusion.
6. Perform classroom observations and support instructional alignment.
7. Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 7+ years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree or higher in counseling, educational psychology, or education.
• Leadership experience in education, especially with early childhood to 2nd grade.
• Experience with curriculum development, change management, and diverse student populations.
