Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, NC, seeks a Lab Safety & Equipment Manager to oversee safety, regulatory compliance, and operation of teaching and research laboratories in Biology. You will be the primary contact for building safety, animal research protocol compliance, and new lab setup, coordinating with EHS, IACUC, and Facilities.

The role requires inspecting labs, maintaining safety documentation, coordinating training, equipment maintenance, and supporting faculty and students.

Qualificações

• Knowledge of laboratory safety regulations (OSHA, ANSI Z358.1).
• Ability to perform routine maintenance on scientific instrumentation or learn department equipment.
• Strong documentation and recordkeeping skills.

Responsabilidades

• Coordinate building and lab safety inspections for teaching and research spaces.
• Maintain chemical hygiene plan docs, chemical inventories, SDS access and waste scheduling.
• Track testing of eyewash stations, safety showers, fume hoods; coordinate corrective actions with EHS.
• Coordinate safety training and onboarding for faculty, staff, graduate TAs and students.
