Job summary

Lighthouse Lab Services is seeking a Laboratory Safety Officer to oversee safety policies, employee health programs, and OSHA compliance in a clinical laboratory setting. This is a 12-month contract, on-site, with potential extension, reporting to laboratory leadership.

The ideal candidate has clinical laboratory safety experience, strong communication, and the ability to implement corrective actions, inspections, and training to reduce hazards and ensure regulatory readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in CL S / related field.
• Clinical laboratory safety experience strongly preferred.
• Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and lab safety.

Responsibilities

• Manage laboratory safety policies, procedures, and programs.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA requirements and safety regulations.
• Develop, implement, and maintain laboratory safety rules and procedures.
• Monitor compliance and identify corrective actions.
• Conduct routine laboratory safety inspections and assessments.
• Oversee safe handling, storage, labeling, and disposal of hazardous materials.
• Provide guidance and training on safety policies and OSHA requirements.
• Investigate incidents and coordinate follow-up actions.
• Promote a culture of safety and regulatory compliance.
