University of Maryland, Baltimore (UMB) is seeking a contractual C1 Laboratory Research Technician to join the School of Medicine - Physiology. The incumbent will perform routine bioanalytical, chemical, or physical tests according to standardized processes, along with other laboratory activities and maintenance.
All employees are expected to work primarily within the State of Maryland.
Note: Duties may vary based on departmental needs.
Additional experience and education may be substituted for qualifications on a year-for-year basis, with 30 college credits equivalent to one year of experience.
Knowledge of natural and chemical sciences, safe handling of specimens and materials, laboratory procedures, effective communication, computer skills, and physical ability to transport materials and work with PPE.
May require medical examinations, safety training, and working with biohazardous materials. Not eligible for union participation.
Commensurate with education and experience.
