Essentia Health offers opportunities at the Fosston, Ada, and Graceville campuses as part of our medical laboratory team. We seek qualified MLT/MLS professionals who can handle diverse lab testing, maintain high accuracy, and participate in a rotating schedule including days, evenings, and nights.

Ideal candidates hold an associates or four-year CLs degree and ASCP certification within one year of hire, with a commitment to patient-centered care in our community hospitals.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an associates degree in Medical Laboratory Technician.
• Graduate of a four-year degree in Clinical Laboratory Science, or ASCP-certified MLS/MLT pathway.
• Certification as ASCP MLT or MLS required within one year from hire.

Responsibilities

• Shift Rotation: Day/Eve/Night (United States of America).
• Call obligation required.
• Weekends and holidays required.

Essentia Health - Fosston:

We’re a 25-bed Critical Access Hospital. We treat our patients like we’d treat our own family and friends. Our medical providers may even know you because many of them live in town.

Get more of the care you need close to home, including 24-hour emergency care. You’ll find us attached to the Essentia Health-Fosston Clinic. We’re also next to the Essentia Health Living Center and Prairie Pines Community.

Essentia Health - Ada/Graceville:

Ada - We’re a Level IV Trauma Center and 14-bed Critical Access Hospital. We offer rehabilitation services, surgical care, and 24-hour emergency care. You’ll find the Ada hospital in the same building as the Essentia Health-Ada Clinic.

Graceville - We’re a Level IV Trauma Center with 24-hour emergency care and a Critical Access Hospital. You’ll find us on 2nd Street along East Toqua Lake, which offers a tranquil setting. As one of Essentia’s Catholic facilities, we strive to provide holistic healing for all human life.

Education Qualifications:

MLT:

Graduate of an associates degree in Medical Laboratory Technician

OR

Meets Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA) guidelines for the complexity of laboratory testing for alternative route.

MLS:

Graduate of a four-year degree in Clinical Laboratory science

OR

MLT (ASCP) certified with additional semester hours in clinical laboratory equivalents from an accredited school with 2 years of full time lab experience and certified as an MLS (ASCP) .

MLT:

Licensure/Certification Qualifications:

Certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician American Society of Clinical Pathology (ASCP) or equivalent certification, is required within one year from the date of hire.

MLS:

Certification as a Medical Laboratory Scientist American Society of Clinical Pathology (ASCP), is required within one year from the date of hire.
