• MLT: Certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician ASCP or equivalent within 1 year from hire date.
• MLS: Certification as Medical Laboratory Scientist ASCP within 1 year from hire date.
• MLS: Additional semester hours in clinical laboratory equivalents (if applicable).
• MLT: CLIA guidelines-compliant testing aptitude.

Responsibilities

• MLT: Perform and report tests of all complexity levels per CLIA on patients of all ages.
• MLT: Participate in Quality Assurance, Quality Control Monitoring, instrumentation maintenance and troubleshooting.
• MLT: Include phlebotomy and specimen processing duties as needed, with customer service.
• MLS: Interpret and correlate test results with disease states and theoretical knowledge.
• MLS: Participate in research, development, education, and technical consultation.
• MLS: May be required to perform phlebotomy and specimen processing.
