Responsibilities

• Prepares specimens through proper handling protocols to ensure viable specimens and accurate results.
• Identifies patient, labels, records tubes, logs procedures, and enters specimen data into the system.
• Responds quickly, courteously, and professionally to clients and coworkers to provide excellent service.
• Handles administrative duties to receive, identify, accession, and process specimens using established protocols.
• Prepares specimens for transportation, labels vials, and matches blood specimens to patients.
• Maintains compliance with departmental policies, PPE use, safety practices, and laboratory standards.
• Answers phones and communicates results to Physician offices.
