Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; 0–2 years preferred in a lab/clerical setting.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient with basic Microsoft Excel and Word; effective written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis and testing.
• Process, sort, rack, retrieve, and organize specimens.
• Prepare and send specimens and test requests to reference laboratories.
• Research, troubleshoot, and resolve specimen-related issues.
• Release test results and route test requests to appropriate locations.
• Assist clients with specimen-related inquiries and requests.
• Maintain accurate records and logs in a timely manner.
• Provide support to multiple areas within the laboratory.
• Ensure proper specimen handling and maintain integrity throughout the process.
• Utilize Microsoft Office for documentation and communication.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Follow laboratory safety procedures and policies.
