Job summary

LAUKOA seeks a Laboratory & Pilot Plant Technician to maintain and support AFCEC laboratory and pilot-scale facilities at Fort Leonard Wood. Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, minor repairs, calibration coordination, and tool control within a regulated environment.

The role involves configuring equipment, documenting repairs, managing inventories, and coordinating with base PMEL and vendors to ensure safety and compliance in laboratory operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required, with a minimum of 3 years related experience.
• Ability to perform routine calculations and use a computer in performance of duties.
• Knowledge of material storage, glassware, safety regulations, and laboratory policies.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and minor repairs on non-complex RDT&E equipment and modify instruments as needed.
• Track PM and repairs for highly complex equipment and update Inventory Management records.
• Prepare laboratory configurations, assist with movement of equipment/materials, and document repairs using AF forms.
• Manage laboratory equipment records, inventories, and data entry; interface with logistics and users.
• Coordinate calibrations per DAF requirements and schedule with base PMEL.
