Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; courses in mathematics and sciences preferred.
• Phlebotomy training or hands-on phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Moderate complexity testing qualifications per CFR.493.1423 may be required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform specimen collection (venipuncture, arterial and capillary) and accessioning for testing.
• Process specimens and route to appropriate laboratory sections per procedures.
• Operate LIS to prepare draw lists, labels, and reports.
• Verify patient information and authorization on requisitions; ensure accuracy for billing and records.
• Maintain QA/QC compliance and proper documentation.
• Provide general office support and answer inquiries from clinical staff.
