Job summary

KMRG, LLC is seeking a Laboratory Operations Technician to join our team and provide onsite technical and operational laboratory support to the FDA’s Denver lab. You will prepare media and solutions, sterilize materials, assist with sample prep, wash glassware, handle waste, and maintain clean work areas.

The role requires safety-consciousness, the ability to follow written procedures, and meticulous documentation of monitoring activities in a structured laboratory setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Ability to follow written procedures and safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Laboratory Media, Solution & Reagent Preparation: weigh, measure, mix, and prepare media, solutions, reagents, and standards; adjust pH; label materials; follow SOPs and safety procedures.
• Sterilization Support: operate autoclaves; sterilize media and containers; maintain sterilization records.
• Sample Preparation: assist with aseptic and non-aseptic preparation of laboratory samples; handle various sample types.
• Glassware Washing & Laboratory Equipment Support: wash, dry, and store glassware and containers; maintain storage areas.
• Waste Collection & Disposal: collect and safely dispose of waste; follow waste handling procedures.
• Laboratory Custodial Support: keep work areas clean; organize surfaces and storage spaces.
• Laboratory Safety Support: conduct safety checks; report incidents; maintain PPE and safety equipment.
• Deionized Water-System Monitoring: check water systems; read meters; ensure proper operation.
• Quality Control & Documentation: follow SOPs; complete logs; maintain documentation and inventories.
