WVU Medicine is seeking a Laboratory Supervisor to oversee laboratory services across assigned areas, ensuring staffing coverage and efficient workflow within the hospital’s clinical labs.

The role requires a Medical Technology-related degree, state licensure as applicable, and at least four years of relevant laboratory experience, with preferred ASCP/AMT certifications. Sign-on bonuses may apply.

Formación

• Bachelor's or Associate degree in medical laboratory fields as specified.
• Current state licensure where required (WV HCTP/Cytotechnologist/Histotechnologist).
• Four years’ experience in medical laboratory roles.
• Preferred ASCP/AMT certifications (MLT/MLS/CT/HTL).

Responsabilidades

• Assist Managers in supervising all lab areas to ensure staffing coverage.
• Participate in staff orientation and performance evaluations.
• Coordinate specimen handling and reference lab communications.
• Assist in developing SOPs and department policies.
• Maintain knowledge of hospital policies, safety, and CBA where applicable.
• Ensure timely communication and resolution of customer inquiries.

Educación

Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology / Cytotechnology / Histotechnology (Medical Laboratory Science) or related field

Associate’s Degree in Medical (Clinical) Laboratory Technology or related field

State Licensure (WV: HCTP, Cytotechnologist, Histotechnologist; PA/OH/MD: no state license required)

Four years’ experience as Medical Technologist/MLT/Histotechnologist/Cytotechnologist

ASCP/AMT certifications: MLT, MLS, CT, HTL (preferred)
