Job summary

Mercyhealth is seeking a Laboratory leadership role responsible for ensuring compliance with accrediting and regulatory standards, maintaining continuous survey readiness, and supervising laboratory partners.

You will plan staffing, recruit and hire, manage performance evaluations, onboard new partners with Beaker Epic access, and drive performance improvement through data dashboards and new technology validations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Associate degree in medical laboratory science or related field.
• Three to five years' experience in a lab leadership position.
• ASCP certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensures compliance with accrediting and regulatory standards; maintains continuous survey readiness.
• Coordinates performance improvement including data dashboards and education documentation; leads training and competency checks.
• Oversees onboarding of new partners with Beaker/Epic access; conducts staffing planning and performance evaluations; supports budget and staffing decisions.

Education
