Job summary

VIBRA TRAVELS is seeking a Medical Lab Tech to join our expanding network of healthcare professionals. This travel role is for dependable, detail-focused individuals ready to work in diverse hospital labs across the country.

You will perform tests, collect samples, and analyze results across chemistry and hematology while maintaining accuracy and using LIS. A CLS/MLT program graduate with BLS is required; travel and a valid driver's license are mandatory.

Qualifications

• Must have completed an accredited CLS or MLT program.
• BLS certification through AHA is required.
• State licensure/registration may be required depending on assignment.

Responsibilities

• Perform and analyze tests across chemistry, hematology, etc.
• Collect quality specimens and ensure proper labeling and handling.
• Maintain accuracy and timeliness of results and documentation.
• Work independently and with interdisciplinary teams.

Minimum Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of recent hospital lab experience
• Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) required
• Graduate of an accredited Clinical Laboratory Science or Medical Laboratory Technician program
• ASCP or AMT certification preferred (required at some facilities)
• Current, valid, and active driver’s license required.
• Ability to travel using publicly available air and ground transportation.

Certificates, Licensures, Registrations

• Current, valid, and active license and/or certification to practice as a lab tech in the state of employment required.
• Current BLS certification from a Vibra Travels-approved vendor required, AHA preferred and may be required by some clients

Additional Qualifications/Skills

• Proficient in sample collection, testing, and analysis across various departments (chemistry, hematology, etc.)
• Familiarity with lab information systems (LIS)
• Strong attention to accuracy and detail
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
• Free from illegal drug use and effects of alcohol in the workplace
