Job summary

PathGroup is seeking an AP/CP Board-CCertified Pathologist to serve as Laboratory Medical Director at a thriving hospital-based practice in Frisco, Texas. This full-time leadership role combines diagnostic surgical pathology with medical oversight of laboratory operations and regulatory compliance.

The ideal candidate will be collaborative with strong communication and leadership skills, with breast pathology experience encouraged.

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
• AP/CP Board Certification required.
• Eligible for unrestricted Texas medical licensure.
• Prior Medical Director or laboratory leadership experience preferred.
• Excellent diagnostic, communication, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Laboratory Medical Director for hospital pathology and laboratory services.
• Provide medical oversight for laboratory operations and regulatory compliance.
• Support laboratory quality assurance, accreditation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Participate in hospital leadership meetings and multidisciplinary committees.
• Collaborate closely with hospital administration, laboratory leadership, and clinical colleagues.
• Provide diagnostic surgical pathology services and frozen section interpretation.
