Job summary

Psomagen, Inc. in Rockville, MD is seeking a Laboratory Logistics Assistant at an entry level. This full-time role requires a high school diploma or GED and includes comprehensive on-the-job training.

You will handle sample intake, labeling, barcoding, aliquoting, and coordination of sample returns or disposals, while following SOPs and safety procedures. A path to Laboratory Technician exists within the company.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Shift from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
• Ability to read alphanumeric IDs and lab labels.
• Meticulous attention to numbers, letters and barcodes.
• Fine motor skills for handling small lab tools and containers.
• Follow SOPs and QC procedures.
• Follow lab safety procedures and PPE guidelines.
• Work well with lab and logistics teams.

Responsibilities

• Unpack incoming packages and verify sample IDs.
• Generate and attach barcode labels to tubes and containers.
• Dispense liquids and perform aliquoting with pipettes or automated equipment.
• Sort and route samples to testing departments or client categories.
• Package samples for return or dispose according to protocols.
• Log tracking data and shipping records in the system.
• Maintain a clean, organized receiving station.
