Psomagen, Inc. is seeking a Laboratory Logistics Assistant for an entry-level, part-time role. Training will be provided on the job, with daily hours from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM, and an hourly rate of $18 per hour.

No prior experience required, but attention to detail and reliable attendance are essential. The position involves receiving samples, labeling, aliquoting, data entry, and coordinating returns or disposals, all in a cooled lab environment.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Ability to read and interpret alphanumeric IDs/tags.
Attention to detail and accuracy in labeling and data entry.
Dexterity for handling small lab containers and caps.
Punctual with reliable shift attendance.

Responsibilities

Unpack packages upon arrival, verify sample IDs against manifests, and assess sample condition.
Generate and attach barcode labels to tubes, vials, and specimen holders.
Dispense measured volumes using automated equipment or manual pipettes.
Sort and route samples to designated testing departments or client categories.
Package and process samples for return delivery or disposal following SOPs.
Log sample tracking information, status updates, and shipping records.
Maintain a clean, organized receiving station stocked with lab supplies.
