Laboratory - Lab Manager

License: Current, unrestricted Radiologic Technologist certification

Description:The Lab Instructor is responsible for delivering hands-on laboratory instruction in the educational program.Instructors guide students through the psychomotor and applied skills essential for demonstrating clinical competency.This role involves facilitating small-group laboratory sessions with approximately six students each.Instructors demonstrate and supervise energized and non-energized laboratory practice.They reinforce radiation safety and patient care principles.Instructors evaluate students' skill acquisition in a safe, equitable, and supervised environment.The role aligns with relevant standards for laboratory instruction, ensuring a 1:1 student-to-equipment ratio.Instructors may be assigned to different lab types based on qualifications and program needs.Applied clinical knowledge of radiographic positioning, equipment operation, image production, and patient-care skills is required.Demonstrating psychomotor techniques and evaluating students' skill acquisition is a key part of the job.Instructors must manage a safe and organized laboratory environment for small student groups.Proficiency with standard office software and learning-management platforms is expected.Candidates should possess a strong ability to align laboratory activities with the program’s learning outcomes.
