Job summary

Prestige Hospital System is seeking a Radiology Clinical Instructor to deliver hands-on laboratory instruction in our 18-month program, guiding students through psychomotor and applied radiography skills under supervision. The role requires an Associate's degree in radiologic technology, ARRT certification, California license, BLS/CPR, and 5+ years of radiology experience.

You will supervise small groups, reinforce ALARA, and ensure safe patient handling.

Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in radiologic technology or related field.
  • Current, unrestricted ARRT certification and registration in Radiography — R(R).
  • Current California Radiologic Technologist license.
  • Current BLS/CPR certification for healthcare providers.
  • 5+ years of experience in the field.
  • Applied clinical knowledge of radiographic positioning, equipment operation, image production, and patient-care skills.
  • Knowledge of radiation-safety and patient-safety principles, including ALARA, shielding, collimation, infection control, and safe patient handling.
  • Familiarity with JRCERT Standards applicable to laboratory instruction.
  • Skill in demonstrating psychomotor techniques and evaluating students' skill acquisition with objective, documented criteria.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for small-group instruction, feedback, and student support.
  • Proficiency with standard office software and learning-management/clinical-tracking platforms.

As a Consulting Radiology Clinical Instructor, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality, hands-on laboratory instruction to students in our 18-month program. You will guide students through the psychomotor and applied skills they need to master before demonstrating clinical competency. You will work under the direction of the Program Director and in coordination with the Clinical Coordinator. Your role will involve facilitating small-group laboratory sessions in Introduction to Patient Care and Introduction to Radiography.
