American Crystal Sugar Company is seeking a Lab Foreman to supervise laboratory functions and staff during the shift. The role includes performing Lab Benchperson duties as needed and analyzing routine and special tests under direction of the Factory Chemist.
You will troubleshoot issues in analyses, report results, and maintain records. The job also involves ensuring solutions are prepared and standardized, and supporting factory operations in solving process problems.
The Lab Foreman supervises the lab functions and staff during shift at the factory. They will perform Lab Benchperson duties as needed. Principle accountabilities include but are not limited to: Analyzes and performs routine analysis and special tests as required by the Factory Chemist and others. Trouble shoots problems if errors or questions arise in the analyses. Responsible for sugar and by-product analyses, reporting of results and maintaining accurate records. Also responsible for ensuring routine solutions are correctly prepared and standardized. Assists factory operations in analyzing and troubleshooting process problems.
High School diploma or a GED certificate is required. One Year of general college chemistry Individuals are required to take a Mechanical Aptitude Test and Basic Skills Test to verify basic skills and knowledge. Able to read, write and communicate effectively. Must have a valid driver’s license.
