The Certified Welder role at American Crystal Sugar Company supports maintenance activities in the factory. The job involves fabrication, pipefitting and rigging with emphasis on safe and efficient operation, using SAP for maintenance tasks.
Candidate must have a High School Diploma or GED, pass a mechanical aptitude test, hold ASME Section 9 Welding Certification (6G), and obtain forklift/manlift certifications, with a strong commitment to safety.
The Certified Welder is primary responsible for providing welding expertise to assist and support maintenance activities in the factory. Principle accountabilities include but are not limited to: Performs fabrication, pipefitting and rigging. Communicates with others to enable them to set appropriate priorities. Responsible for setting an effective pace and for minimizing interruptions in the process operation. Participates in safety programs and safety training. Must understand and be totally committed to and compliant with all Company Safety and Sanitation policies. Uses a basic knowledge of all process equipment in performing job duties. Works without direct supervision in an effective and safe manner. Uses the SAP maintenance management system in the accomplishment of job duties.
Compensation Range: $35.03 - $40.20 /hr
