Qualifications

• Doctoral degree in a chemical, physical, biological, or clinical laboratory science.
• 7+ years of experience in the field.
• Current state licensure or certification as a Laboratory Director as required by the laboratory's location.
• Consider HCLD certification and ABMM/ABCC/ABBI/ABMLI certifications preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to work independently under pressure and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee laboratory operations and personnel.
• Ensure staffing and resource plans are effective and efficient.
• Uphold compliance and risk management policies.
• Collaborate with physician groups and external laboratories on KPI development and performance metrics.
• Drive quality improvement and scientific rigor across lab projects.
• Engage in budgeting and financial management for the lab.
