Job summary

US Fertility, including Shady Grove Fertility, is seeking a Laboratory Director to lead the Sandy Springs, GA laboratory. The role emphasizes scientific rigor, staff development, and cross-functional collaboration with physicians to improve patient outcomes.

The director will ensure quality, manage budgets, and drive continuous improvement while maintaining regulatory compliance. This is a full-time, on-site opportunity with a competitive compensation package and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree in a chemical, physical, biological, or clinical laboratory science from an accredited institution.
• 7+ years of previous experience in the field.
• Current licensure or certification as a Laboratory Director issued by the state where the laboratory is located, as required.
• Consider High Complexity Laboratory Director (HCLD) certification.
• Certification by the American Board of Medical Microbiology, the American Board of Clinical Chemistry, the American Board of Bioanalysis, or the American Board of Medical Laboratory Immunology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set high standards for the application of the science and improve scientific results.
• Contribute to the development of KPIs and other performance metrics.
• Oversee staffing, training, and professional development of lab personnel.
