Job summary

Valley Health’s Winchester Medical Center Laboratory is led by an experienced director who oversees Chemistry, Hematology, Microbiology, Blood Bank and Molecular labs. The role includes phlebotomy support, staffing, safety, and quality initiatives to ensure service excellence and patient safety.

The position requires a CLS/Medical Technology degree, a minimum of five years in lab leadership, and ASCP or equivalent certification. Strong leadership and financial skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in CLS/Medical Technology is required.
• Master's degree preferred for leadership.
• Strong knowledge of CAP/TJC regulations and safety.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and staffing for the laboratory departments.
• Develop and manage budgets, safety programs, and quality metrics.
• Collaborate with hospital departments and corporate entities.
• Lead continuous improvement and performance initiatives.
