Job summary

Qualifications

  • AMLT Certification or equivalent required within 1 year of hire.
  • ASCP or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform and demonstrate proficiency in clinical laboratory testing with independent judgment.
  • Train and oversee laboratory personnel and supervise LIS-related tasks.
  • Manage LIS functions, file maintenance, and support the laboratory quality assurance program.
  • Ensure compliance with quality, safety and regulatory standards while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality.

How You'll Contribute

The Laboratory Coordinator performs and demonstrates proficiency in one or more areas of the clinical laboratory while exercising independent judgment and responsibility in the performance of complex laboratory testing. Responsibilities include diagnostic testing on patient specimens to assist physicians in the diagnosis and monitoring of disease states, training and oversight of laboratory personnel, and management of Laboratory Information System (LIS) functions, including file maintenance and support of the laboratory quality assurance program. The role ensures compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory standards while maintaining accuracy, efficiency, and confidentiality in all laboratory operations.
