TriHealth invites Allied Health students to join the Good Samaritan Hospital Western Ridge as a Laboratory Co-op. This role provides hands-on experience with waived and moderate complexity testing, under structured mentorship, guiding you toward MT/MLT certification.

Hired students progress toward Registry-Eligible MT/MLT positions within TriHealth laboratories, supported by a mission-driven culture and strong internal growth opportunities.

• Currently enrolled in an approved program for Allied Health studies
• Clinical training in an approved program as described in the role documentation

Responsabilités

• Develop accuracy and prioritization in sample handling and data entry
• Support cohort learning through hands-on practice and mentorship
• Contribute to quality control processes and documentation

Work Schedule:

• Full-Time (80 hours bi-weekly)
• Evening Shift
• Weekend Commitment
• Rotating Holiday Commitment
• No On Call Commitment

• Clinical training in an approved program as described above (Required)

Job Overview:

Students of Allied Health Science programs and/or their equivalent as defined by the College of American Pathologists (CAP) are required to obtain specific education, clinical training and experience to qualify to take a certification examination. This position allows them to assist with waived and moderate complexity testing to obtain such clinical training and experience. An individual agrees to a specific route (education and training) and the time in which they will complete this route when hired. Upon completion, they are eligible to apply for any open MT/MLT positions at TriHealth Laboratory locations as Registry-Eligible. This position is designed to encourage employees to obtain certification and to pursue Registered Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) or Registered Medical Technologist (MT)/Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) positions within our laboratory.
