TALENT Software Services is assisting a leading Acute Care Hospital in Orange, CA in finding a seasoned Blood Bank Technologist traveler. The role requires independent work during night shifts and a strong focus on type and screen, crossmatch, and high-volume blood bank operations.

Ideal candidates will have ASCP-BB certification, recent blood bank experience, and proficiency with EPIC and blood bank instrumentation.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent blood bank experience.
• ASCP-BB certification required.
• Experience with high-volume type and screen and crossmatch workflows.

Responsibilities

• Perform type and screen and crossmatch in a high-volume hospital blood bank.
• Utilize EPIC and blood bank software for daily operations.
• Work independently during night shifts (4x10 hour shifts) with rotating weekends/holidays.

Job Opportunity in Orange, CA. Join our dynamic team at a leading Acute Care Hospital in Orange, CA. This facility is a renowned MAGNET hospital with a commitment to excellence in patient care. We are seeking a seasoned professional with expertise in clinical laboratory operations, specifically in blood banking, to work independently during night shifts.

Job Details

• Start Time: 9:30 PM, with flexibility to start at 8:00 PM as needed
• Experience Required: Minimum of 2 years, with recent/current experience in blood bank as a traveler
• Certifications Required: ASCP-BB
• Certifications Preferred: Clinical Immunohematology Science
• Shift: 4x10 hour variable days
• Weekend Requirement: Rotating weekends and holidays
• Start Date: ASAP
• Guaranteed Hours: Facility may call off once per two-week pay period

Candidate Requirements

• Must be a seasoned traveler with blood bank experience
• Experience in a large hospital (300 beds) is required
• Must be able to handle high volume type/screen and crossmatch
• Experience with EPIC and blood bank software is mandatory
• Experience with Wellsky and Immucor Instrumentation is preferred
• Trauma Level I experience required, teaching hospital experience preferred
• Ability to work independently and confidently during night shifts
