  • Hours: 40 hours per week

Department Details

This is a day shift position working 8-10 hour shifts. Shifts are rotating: 0430-1300, 0430-1500, and 0700-1730. Responsibilities include drawing blood from adult and pediatric patients, processing blood and non-blood specimens, operating centrifuges, and entering patient information into the computer system.

Summary of Responsibilities

Responsibilities include phlebotomy, collecting, preparing, and processing biological specimens.

Job Description

Assist in performing laboratory activities and other assigned tasks. Prepare laboratory specimens and supplies. May be responsible for entering laboratory orders and results. Ensure the accuracy and quality of laboratory data in a safe and professional work environment.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Completion of a formal phlebotomy program, phlebotomy experience, and laboratory-related experience preferred.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification may be required.
