**Responsibilities**
Northridge Hospital Medical Center is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our busy Regional Microbiology team as a **Lab Assistant Tech** . This position plays a vital role in supporting our laboratory's mission to provide accurate and timely diagnostic testing for our patients. Will process Micro samples of all specimen types onto appropriate media.
+ Prepare and sterilize laboratory equipment and supplies.
+ Collect, process, and label patient samples according to established protocols.
+ Perform routine laboratory procedures, including plating, streaking, and inoculation.
+ Maintain accurate records and documentation of all laboratory activities.
+ Assist with the preparation of reagents and media.
+ Clean and maintain laboratory work areas and equipment.
+ Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations.
+ Assist the Clinical Lab Scientist and Medical Lab Techs as needed
**Qualifications**
+ High school diploma or equivalency.
+ One (1) year laboratory clerical and/or phlebotomy experience in an acute care facility required
+ Minimum of 1 year of experience in a clinical microbiology laboratory setting is preferred.
+ Familiarity with laboratory equipment, including microscopes, incubators, and autoclaves.
+ Strong understanding of laboratory safety protocols and regulations.
+ Phlebotomy training must meet the needs of newborns through the geriatric population
+ California Phlebotomy Technician License (CT Phlebotomy) preferred.
+ American Heart Association Basic Life Support Certification (AHA BLS) required.
+ Fire Safety Card (CT Fire Card) required. (must obtain 90 days from hire date)

**Pay Range**
$23.00 - $25.97 /hour
