Job summary

CHI St. Alexius Health invites applications for a Lab Assistant in Bismarck, ND. You will collect blood and patient specimens for diagnostic testing, ensuring comfort and safety while explaining procedures and performing venipunctures.

You will label and prepare specimens for analysis, adhering to safety standards and CLS guidelines. Additionally, you will support lab operations, manage specimen distribution, and assist with send-out testing and supply management.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Collect blood and other patient specimens for diagnostic testing with safety and comfort.
• Identify patients, explain procedures, perform venipunctures, and prepare specimens for analysis.
• Label and prepare specimens for laboratory testing and distribution.
• Assist with send-out testing and external preparation procedures.
• Support lab operations by organizing and distributing specimens and maintaining workflow.
• Maintain lab equipment, stock supplies, and report needs to supervisor.
