You'll play a key role in prepping and handling samples, keeping records accurate, and maintaining a clean laboratory to support on-time results everyday. You’ll collaborate with a strong team of committed professionals, contribute to meaningful scientific work, and grow your expertise in a dynamic, quality-driven environment. The compensation range for this role is **$20.00 - $22.00**, commensurate with experience, skills, and geographic location. **Department:** Sample Receiving / PUSH Team**Schedule:** Monday - Friday, 11:00 am to 7:30 pm To thrive in this role, you’ll be comfortable taking ownership of the following responsibilities:* Preparing and weighing samples for digestion or extraction as needed (includes but is not limited to: weighing soils, making composites, crushing samples, incremental sampling, product sampling, etc)* Data entry* Facility housekeeping/maintenance* Perform support tasks as needed* Comply with Onterris Quality Assurance Program and other policies* Comply with Onterris Health and Safety Plan* Other duties as assigned by the Group Leader or Lab Director # **Your Expertise and Skills** These requirements reflect the knowledge, skills and abilities that help you do your best work here.* High School Diploma* Basic laboratory techniques (knowledge of PPE, use of balance, pipetting, glassware handling, etc)* Basic Excel skills required* Must have ability to follow directions and work in a team setting* Must be comfortable working with strong acids and solvents* Excellent communication skills required* Detail oriented Preferred Skills* Prior Laboratory experience preferred but not required as this is an entry level position* Knowledge of analytical method, analytical instruments, general lab practices and lab safety* Ability to work independently and in a team* Good organizational skills # **Work Environment and Physical Requirements** The physical and environmental requirements below reflect what’s typically needed to perform the essential functions of this role safely and effectively.
