Schedule:

• Part-time clinic shifts Monday-Friday between 6:45am-5:00pm
• Every 3rd weekend hospital shift 5:00am-1:30pm

Duties include:

• Prepping & performing phlebotomy on children up to elderly patients
• Preparing samples for pickup
• Maintain appropriate supplies inventory
• Charting blood draws

Qualifications:

• Laboratory Assistant: no previous experience needed
• Senior Laboratory Assistant: requires active phlebotomy certification
• Pathology Technician: requires bachelor's degree in biology or related subject

Summary

Responsibilities include phlebotomy, collecting, preparing and processing specimens and biological specimens.

Job Description

Assists in performing laboratory activities and other assigned tasks. Aids in preparing laboratory specimens and supplies. May be responsible for entering laboratory orders and results. Ensures the accuracy and quality of laboratory data in a safe and professional work environment.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED preferred. Completion of a formal phlebotomy program, phlebotomy experience, and laboratory-related experience preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification may be required.
