The community you’ll be caring for:

AdventHealth Riverview

AdventHealth is expanding its medical expertise, innovation, and state-of-the-art technology to southern Hillsborough County through a new hospital in Riverview, scheduled to open in 2024. The hospital will include 82 beds at opening, with potential to expand to 202 beds. The project also includes a 100,000 sq ft Medical Office Building providing community members with convenient access to care. Services offered will include emergency, cardiovascular, digestive, urology, orthopedic, and women’s care.

The role you’ll contribute:

The Laboratory Assistant III performs various laboratory support procedures in assigned areas, which may include phlebotomy and specimen processing in clinical and anatomical pathology areas. The role requires meeting ongoing education and department-specific requirements. Work involves practical knowledge of laboratory procedures and support functions, with advanced problem-solving skills. Participation in laboratory, campus, or community programs is required. The role may also include non-technical functions such as answering phones, clerical duties, assisting in teaching, and supporting performance improvement activities.

Qualifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification if required by facility
