Responsibilities

• Performs phlebotomy collections with proper patient identification and labeling.
• Ensures prompt sample processing and distribution to testing locations.
• Maintains clean work areas and stocks supplies.
• Registers patients and enters orders in the computer system.
• Maintains competency and conducts drug screen collections per guidelines.
• Communicates with physicians and nursing staff to ensure proper specimen procurement.
• Distributes reports to appropriate locations and follows up on abnormal results.
