Island Health is offering a sign-on bonus of $3,000 for an experienced Laboratory Assistant for our Part-Time position at our hospital in Anacortes, WA.

• 0.625 FTE / 25 hours a week
• Evening shift / 3:30pm - 9:00 pm
• Monday - Friday schedule

Salary Range: $19.35 - $28.74

Laboratory Assistant Job Responsibilities

• Develops and maintains good working relationships with staff and physicians. Uses resources efficiently.
• Performs waived testing, urine measurements, culture setups, and blood specimen collection under supervision.
• Ensures sample integrity and manages lab requisitions and scheduling.

Job Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Certified by the State of Washington as a Medical Assistant-Phlebotomist (MA-P)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification (must be obtained within 90 days of hire)
• Minimum six months of phlebotomy experience or one year as a Laboratory Assistant
• Qualify under CLIA
