University of California - Los Angeles Health Lab seeks a Lab Assistant II to conduct behavioral training experiments, brain sectioning and histology, and imaging data collection with mice. The role includes scheduling undergraduates for the same work and handling general lab duties with Excel data summaries.
The candidate will participate in weekly lab and center meetings, possess a BS in biology or related field, and have experience with mice and strong English communication skills.
The Lab Asst. II will be conducting behavioral training experiments, brain sectioning and histology, and brain imaging data collection with mice. S/he will be responsible for data collection, for scheduling undergraduate students to run the same experiments, and to perform general laboratory duties, including the generating of spreadsheet data summaries in Excel. S/he will also be required to take part in lab and center meetings each week. A Bachelor of Science degree in biological or equivalent or related fields is required. Experience handling mice is required.
Hourly salary range: 27.54 - 33.13
